ISU MSS19 CV Screening and One-To-One Sessions with HE Space Recruiters

Last week, the International Space University ISU’s Master of Space Studies MSS19 students availed themselves of a number of one-to-one sessions with recruiting experts from HE Space - a privately owned personnel recruitment company with an exclusive focus on the space sector.

HE Space Operations has offices in Bremen and Darmstadt (Germany), Noordwijk (The Netherlands) and Houston (USA). For more than 35 years they have provided engineers, scientists, and other professionals to clients such as European Space Agency (ESA), Airbus Defence and Space, ArianeGroup, Eumetsat and DLR GfR. HE Space Operations does the matchmaking and invests in the best personnel – for enterprises of any size to successfully achieve space missions. It co-founded associations such as Women in Aerospace Europe.

HE Space’s Chiara Grossardi, Agnieszka Iwanczuk, Leandros Foteinias, and Elisa Manfreda were invaluable to the students as they provided career advice, CV screening, and interview preparation.

Eóin Tuohy, a MSS19 student, gives us his impression on the one-to-one session with a recruiter:

“The recruiter from HE Space that spoke to me, Elisa, gave me valuable tailored feedback on my CV which was incredibly helpful. The opportunity to have an external expert ensure that I am presenting myself in the best possible light to funding committees and future employers is something I’m incredibly grateful for.”

Other MSS students gave us a positive feedback as well:

“It was very helpful and informative to create a CV for companies in the European Union.”

“I couldn’t have asked for better advice from Chiara, she was extremely knowledgeable in what employers in the space industry are looking for and helped me portray that through my CV. Her expertise was evident when suggesting changes” informs another student.

These sessions are just one example of the long-lasting, well-functioning collaboration between HE Space and ISU. HE Space is this year again, also supporting SpaceUp ISU!
